Regular Season Round 4: Toyota B SR - Mitsubishi K. 85-61

Leader Toyota B SR delivered the fourth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Mitsubishi K. (1-3) 85-61 in Aichi. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota B SR. Mitsubishi K. was better in second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mitsubishi K. to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Mitsubishi K. 43-31 including 20 on the offensive glass. Toyota B SR players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. International swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) replied with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Midori Kazama (168-90) added 11 points in the effort for Mitsubishi K.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota B SR have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Mitsubishi K. at the other side keeps the eighth place with three games lost. Toyota B SR will play against league's second-placed Chanson V-M in Shizuoka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mitsubishi K. will have a break next round.
