Regular Season Round 4: BC Nokia - Kauhajoki 85-83

Kauhajoen Karhu (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of top-ranked BC Nokia. Visitors were edged by BC Nokia 85-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kauhajoen Karhu. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It looked good early as Kauhajoen Karhu took a 17-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BC Nokia took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Isaiah Wilkerson (190-90, college: NJIT) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward David Kravish (208-92, college: California) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five BC Nokia players scored in double figures. BC Nokia's coach Oliver Vidin allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Juho-Matti Lehtoranta (195-89) replied with 22 points and American forward Timothy Troutman (208-91, college: Elon) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Kauhajoen Karhu. BC Nokia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Kauhajoen Karhu at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Kataja Basket. BC Nokia will play against Joensuun Kataja (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kauhajoen Karhu will play against Joensuun Kataja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
