Regular Season Round 6: Eidsvoll - Nidaros Jets 64-86

Nidaros Jets' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Oslo, where they outplayed Eidsvoll (0-4) 86-64. Eidsvoll was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 46-22 second half run of Nidaros Jets. They outrebounded Eidsvoll 52-40 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Eidsvoll was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Decorey Jones (201-90, college: Faulkner) had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 22 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Australian guard Luke Jenkinson (188-75) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward Joseph Nwabuzor (192-85) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds and forward Kornelius Svenningsen (192-97) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. Eidsvoll's coach Chriss Brohaug gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Nidaros Jets (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Fyllingen BBK. It was Eidsvoll's fourth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with four games lost. Nidaros Jets will play against league's leader Ammerud Bskt in Oslo in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Eidsvoll will have a break next round.
