AV Cantu forced the game against Grissin Bon RE into an overtime, but lost by five points 92-97 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 17 points after three quarters before their 30-13 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. Trenkwalder RE forced 22 AV Cantu turnovers. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) who scored 24 points. The former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Trenkwalder RE players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian Brady Heslip (188-90, college: Baylor) who recorded 30 points and American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-92, college: Ohio St.) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Trenkwalder RE will meet Betaland CdO (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AV Cantu will play against Auxilium TO (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
