Regular Season Round 3: Getafe - Sammic ISB 72-74

A very interesting game took place in Madrid. It ended with only two-point home defeat of Getafe (0-3) to Sammic ISB (2-1) 74-72 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Getafe won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sammic ISB forced 22 Getafe turnovers. The best player for the winners was French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (209-90, college: De Paul) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88, agency: Duran International) who recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Haitian forward Marvin Dominique (201, college: St.Peter's, agency: Duran International) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sammic ISB's next round opponent will be Cambados (#7) at home. Getafe will play against Clinicas Rincon (#11) in Malaga and hopes to get finally their first victory.
