Regular Season Round 4: Krosno - Legia W-wa 88-73

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Krosno as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Krosno defeated one of their biggest challengers Legia at home 88-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Legia. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Legia 47-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Krosno made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of center Dariusz Wyka (209-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks and Patryk Pelka (202-89) who added 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Five Krosno players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Grzegorz Malewski (200-84) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Legia's coach Michal Spychala rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Krosno have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sokol Lancut. Legia at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Rosa II Radom. Legia will play next round against strong Znicz Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Krosno will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked AZS AWF Mick. in Katowice.
