Very important is a road loss of Valga (1-1) against TU/Rock (2-1) on Tuesday night. Visiting Valga was crushed by TU/Rock in Tartu 96-63. The game without a history. TU/Rock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Valga to just 6 points in first quarter. TU/Rock made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Valga 42-20 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. TU/Rock players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Valga was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Brian Harper (206-85, college: Paine, agency: HMS) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Gert Dorbek (193-85) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five TU/Rock players scored in double figures. Latvian center Jurijs Aleksejevs (202-85) responded with 20 points and Latvian forward Martins Berkis (198-85) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TU/Rock will play against BC Rakvere (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Valga will have a break next round.
