An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Warszawa. Leader Znicz Basket faced 4th placed Legia W-wa. Guests from Pruszkow (4-0) defeated host Legia W-wa (3-2) 71-56. They outrebounded Legia W-wa 43-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Swingman Damian Janiak (195-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward Filip Put (201-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Power forward Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Cezary Trybanski (217-79) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Legia W-wa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Znicz Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Legia W-wa at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Znicz Basket will play against AZS AWF Mick. (#14) in Katowice in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Legia W-wa will play on the road against Spojnia (#11) in Stargard and hopes to get back on the winning track.
