Regular Season Round 3: Kings - 36ers 80-91

Date: October 23, 2015
There was no surprise in Sydney where Kings (1-4) were defeated by Adelaide 36ers (3-2) 91-80 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-80. The best player for the winners was international guard Adam Gibson (188-86) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Five Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Josh Childress (203-83, college: Stanford) who recorded 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and the former international power forward Julian Khazzouh (209-86) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Kings' coach Damian Cotter tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Adelaide 36ers will face Cairns Taipans (#5) at home in the next round. Kings will play against United in Melbourne and hope to win that game.
