Regular Season Round 6: Maurienne - Caen 98-94
Date: October 23, 2015
No shocking result in a game in Aix-les-Bains where sixth ranked Aix-Maurienne (4-2) won against 12th ranked Caen (2-4) 98-94 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Aix-Maurienne forced 19 Caen turnovers. Strangely Caen outrebounded Aix-Maurienne 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Thomas Yvrande (195-84) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caen's coach Herve Coudray tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aix-Maurienne moved-up to fourth place, which they share with GET Vosges and St Vallier. Newly promoted Caen dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
