Regular Season Round 7: Alvik Basket - LF Future 77-87

Very expected game in Bromma where 7th ranked Alvik Basket (2-3) was defeated by leader LF Future (5-0) 87-77 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-77. LF Future forced 20 Alvik Basket turnovers. Strangely Alvik Basket outrebounded LF Future 44-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Caleb Musie (173-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points. American guard Brian Curry (185-86) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Marten Melinder (194-92) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alvik Basket's coach David McCann let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for LF Future. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Loser Alvik Basket keeps the seventh position with three games lost. LF Future will face Jarfalla (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alvik Basket will play against the league's second-placed KFUM Central in Stockholm and hope to win that game.
