Regular Season Round 6: GTK Gliwice - Astoria Bydg. 70-75

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Astoria Bydg. and 9th ranked GTK Gliwice had identical 2-3 record. But GTK Gliwice was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Bydgoszcz 75-70 on Saturday night. It was a good game for swingman Hubert Mazur (190-84, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Sebastian Laydych (203-87) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Astoria Bydg. players scored in double figures. Power forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Kacper Radwanski (189-94) added 19 points in the effort for GTK Gliwice. Astoria Bydg. (3-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. GTK Gliwice lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Astoria Bydg. will face Rosa II Radom (#5) at home in the next round. GTK Gliwice will play against Nysa Klodzko (#15) in Kloszko and hope to win that game.
