Regular Season Round 4: Aros Leon - Araski AES 66-63

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Aros Leon (3-1) edged at home 9th ranked Araski AES (1-3) 66-63 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 35-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Aros Leon outrebounded Araski AES 37-20 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Victoria Dunlap (185-89, college: Kentucky) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The other American import power forward Aulani Sinclair (186-90, college: Indiana) chipped in 18 points. Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (181-83) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and center Laura Pardo (186-89) added 8 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aros Leon maintains fifth position in Group A with 3-1 record, which they share with C.Adelantados. Loser Araski AES dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Aros Leon will face Cortegada (#13) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Araski AES will play at home against Aragon (#11) and hope to win that game.
