Regular Season Round 9: Kyoto Hannar. - Hiroshima L. 86-59

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Kyoto Hannar.'s (4-2) home victory over 9th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-5) 86-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kyoto Hannar. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 38. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. American forward Larry Owens (201-83, college: ORU, agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and forward Takuya Komoda (190-87) chipped in 17 points. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Adam Herman (199-91, college: Concordia, OR) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Daisuke Daisuke (182-81) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyoto Hannar. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Okinawa GK. Newly promoted Hiroshima L. dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face again Hiroshima L. (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
