Regular Season Round 6: Alvik Basket - Sallen 41-54

Date: October 24, 2015
The game in Stockholm was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Sallen (4-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Alvik Basket (2-5). Sallen defeated Alvik Basket 54-41 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sallen. Alvik Basket was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Alvik Basket to just 5 points in first quarter. Sallen forced 22 Alvik Basket turnovers. It was a good game for the former international Kadidja Andersson (183-80, college: Minnesota) who led her team to a victory with 14 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. point guard Klara Lundquist (171-99) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and center Louise Angel (190-91) added 2 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Alvik Basket. Alvik Basket's coach Francisco Pinto rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sallen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 4-2 record. Alvik Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Sallen will face Mark Basket (#6) in Kinna in the next round. Alvik Basket will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lulea Basket and hope to win that game.
