Important game to mention about took place in Amorebieta-Echano. Fourteenth ranked Zornotza (1-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging much higher ranked CB Granada (3-1) 74-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of CB Granada. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The winners were led by swingman Ander Garcia (194-89) who scored that evening 25 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Arturo Cruz (180-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) supported him with 9 points and 5 assists. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by the former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) did not help to save the game for CB Granada. point guard Jorge Fernandez (183-89) added 16 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Zornotza left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted CB Granada dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Lucentum and Sammic ISB. Zornotza will play against El Olivar (#10) in Zaragoza in the next round. CB Granada will play at home against the league's second-placed Moron (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
