Very expected game in Wroclaw where 8th ranked Gimbasket WRC (1-3) was defeated by third ranked Miedzychod (3-1) 57-47 on Saturday. Miedzychod forced 22 Gimbasket WRC turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Jakub Nowak (188-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Marcin Chodkiewicz (200-82, agency: Promotex) who added 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Miedzychod's coach Slawomir Szulczyk allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side swingman Bartosz Zajac (195-91) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Rafal Malitka (205-91) scored 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Miedzychod have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group D, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Gimbasket WRC dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Miedzychod will face Rawia (#4) in Rawicz in the next round.
