Let's start with guest UCAM Jairis' (3-1) road victory over 6th ranked Plenilunio (2-2) 64-51 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by UCAM Jairis. Plenilunio managed to win second period 18-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when UCAM Jairis won last quarter 15-4. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Plenilunio to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Forward Victoria Robles (179-91) fired 18 points for the winners. Point guard Isabel Latorre (169-96) chipped in 14 points. Center Daira Varas (193-89) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Plenilunio's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UCAM Jairis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Rivas Promete and Leganes. Plenilunio at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. UCAM Jairis is looking forward to face league's second-placed Sant Adria in Sant Adria de Besos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Plenilunio will play at home against Leganes (#3) and is hoping to win this game.
