Regular Season Round 4: Adareva - RC Celta 81-49

Undefeated leader Adareva delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Real Celta Vigo (0-4) 81-49 in SC Laguna. The game without a history. Adareva led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Real Celta Vigo's 32. Adareva forced 20 Real Celta Vigo turnovers and outrebounded them 37-21 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Eva Serra (183-83) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds and American-Nigerian swingman Anma Onyeuku (181-91, college: Hofstra) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Adareva's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Angela Coello (-97) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and American-Nigerian guard Sarah Ogoke (175-90, college: So.Poly State) scored 12 points. Adareva have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Adareva maintains first position in Group A with 4-0 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Real Celta Vigo still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with ADBA and Cortegada. Adareva will meet Arxil Pontevedra (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Real Celta Vigo will play against the league's second-placed Al-Qazeres (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
