Regular Season Round 5: La Roda - Casvi 57-52

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked La Roda and bottom-ranked Casvi had identical 0-1 record. This time La Roda used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Villaviciosa 57-52 on Saturday night. Casvi was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 14-8 charge of La Roda, which allowed them to win the game. Casvi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Miguel Raez (200-79) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and point guard Manuel Blazquez (185-89) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Forward Jorge Sanchez (198-94) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Nicolas Bermudez (193-95) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La Roda (1-1) left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with 5 other teams.
