Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Cento (4-1) defeated at home 7th ranked Rimini (2-3) 80-70 on Saturday. Power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Marco Contento (190-91) chipped in 19 points. Four Cento players scored in double figures. The former international center Francesco Foiera (207-75, agency: Interperformances) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Spanish guard Daniel Perez (189-97) scored 14 points. Rimini's coach Georgi Mladenov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cento moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Loser Rimini dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Cento will face Valsesia (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rimini will play against Bottegone and hope to win that game.
