The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Pardinyes-L.'s (1-4) home loss to eighth ranked Castellbisbal (3-2) 71-77 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pardinyes-L. won third quarter 23-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Castellbisbal shot 61.4 percent from the field. Castellbisbal had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pardinyes-L. was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Marc Manes (196-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Felix Lopez (190-85) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Pol Domingo (198-90) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pau Lopez (181-84) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Pardinyes-L. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Castellbisbal moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Miramar and Andorra II. Loser Pardinyes-L. dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Castellbisbal will face AEC Collblanc (#9) in L´Hospitalet in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pardinyes-L. will play on the road against Santfeliuenc in Sant Feliu and hope to win that game.
