Regular Season Round 4: Avila - Lucentum 60-44

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Meridiano Alicante (3-1) in Avila on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Fontedoso Carrefour (4-0) 60-44. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Meridiano Alicante. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Fontedoso Carrefour's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-7 extending their advantage to 16 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Meridiano Alicante to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Meridiano Alicante 42-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds.
