Bottom-ranked Arras (0-5) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to eleventh ranked Lyon (2-3) 72-57 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Lyon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 30 Arras turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Latoya Williams (192-87, college: Chipola JC) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Her fellow American import forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Dutch forward Chatilla Van Grinsven (190-89, college: St.Joseph's, agency: LBM Management) produced 6 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Alix Duchet (165-97) added 8 points respectively for the hosts. Lyon moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hainaut and Nantes. Arras lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with COB Calais. Lyon will meet at home higher ranked Lattes Montpellier (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arras will play against Toulouse (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
