Very expected game when bottom-ranked Niigata R. (0-5) was smashed by third ranked Fujitsu RW (4-1) in Tokyo 99-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Fujitsu RW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 34. They outrebounded Niigata R. 54-38 including 27 on the offensive glass. Fujitsu RW looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Niigata R.'s players. International forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Center Mari Hashizume (183-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) answered with 22 points and Hatanaka Miho (177-85) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Niigata R.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fujitsu RW have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Chanson V-M and Toyota B SR.
