Regular Season Round 4: Bayi - Guangdong 96-85

The most surprising game was the first loss of Guangdong Dolphins (3-1) in Yinzhou on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Bayi Kylin (2-2) 96-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guangdong Dolphins. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-85. Bayi Kylin made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward MengXin Sun (190-93) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Mengran Sun (197-92) contributed with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. International center Dong Yu (195-93) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and international guard LiWei Yang (175-95) added 20 points and 5 assists in the effort for Guangdong Dolphins. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bayi Kylin moved-up to third place, which they share with 6 other teams. Guangdong Dolphins at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Shanghai. Bayi Kylin is looking forward to face Jiangsu Phoenix (#3) in Yixing in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Guangdong Dolphins will play on the road against Shandong in Jinan and are hoping to win this game.
