Regular Season Round 3: Rosa Radom - Stal Ostrow 77-65

There was a minor upset in Radom where Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (1-2) was defeated by Rosa (2-2) 77-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-65. Rosa outrebounded Stal Ostrow Wlkp. 45-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import C.J. Harris (191-91, college: Wake Forest) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St.) with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Marcin Sroka (201-81, agency: Promotex) scored 19 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosa will face PGE Turow (#13) in Zgorzelec in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will play on the road against AZS Koszalin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
