An exciting game was played in Gwynneville. Perth Wildcats faced Illawarra Hawks. Guests from Perth (3-1) defeated host Illawarra Hawks (2-3) 106-99. Illawarra Hawks were ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 29-17 charge of Perth Wildcats, which allowed them to win the game. The former international center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) answered with 21 points and American-Italian guard Kevin Lisch (188-86, college: St.Louis) added 15 points and 7 assists in the effort for Illawarra Hawks. Four Perth Wildcats and five Illawarra Hawks players scored in double figures. Illawarra Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Perth Wildcats will play against United in Melbourne in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Illawarra Hawks will play again on the road against Perth Wildcats and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
