Regular Season Round 3: Gran Canaria - Sevilla 76-67

Date: October 25, 2015
Very predictable result when G.Canaria 2014 (3-0) won against Sevilla (0-3) in Las Palmas 76-67 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-8. But Sevilla won third quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. G.Canaria 2014 made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Finnish guard Sasu Salin (192-91) who led his team to a victory with 14 points. Australian swingman Brad Newley (199-85, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 13 points for the winners. American swingman Scott Bamforth (188-89, college: Weber St., agency: Beo Basket) answered with 12 points and the former international swingman Berni Rodriguez (197-80, agency: Court Side) added 10 points in the effort for Sevilla. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. G.Canaria 2014 will face Laboral Kutxa (#3) in Vitoria in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sevilla will play at home against UCAM Murcia (#18) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
