Regular Season Round 4: Shmoolky W-wa - LKS Lodz 85-91

Very expected game in Warszawa where 8th ranked Shmoolky W-wa (1-3) was defeated by top-ranked LKS Lodz (4-0) 91-85 on Sunday. LKS Lodz forced 24 Shmoolky W-wa turnovers. Shmoolky W-wa was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lukasz Wojciechowski (184-88) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and point guard Piotr Trepka (182-80) who added 11 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Mikolaj Motel (192-94) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Tomasz Rudko (186-89) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. LKS Lodz have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with Gimbasket PRZM and Ksiezak Lowicz. Shmoolky W-wa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with three games lost. LKS Lodz will face league's leader Gimbasket PRZM in Przemysl in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shmoolky W-wa will play on the road against Start Lublin II (#5) and hope to win that game.
