There was a minor upset in Valencia where higher ranked Picken Claret (2-2) was defeated by tenth ranked IF Air Europa (2-2) 64-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by IF Air Europa. Picken Claret was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Kelsey Simon (188-92, college: Miami, OH) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Alejandra Quirante (167-92, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Marta Rabassa produced 1 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Laura Navarro (170-84) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Picken Claret's coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. IF Air Europa moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Picken Claret.
