Regular Season Round 7: KFUM Central - KFUM Fryshuset 100-87

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Stockholm: KFUM Central (#2) and KFUM Fryshuset (#4). KFUM Central (5-1) won against visiting KFUM Fryshuset (3-2) 100-87. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Central. KFUM Fryshuset managed to win third quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Central forced 19 KFUM Fryshuset turnovers. Swingman Johan Westerlund (191-84) fired a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. KFUM Central's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Jacob Bodin (185-97) produced 20 points and guard Sami Harun (185-98) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Five KFUM Fryshuset players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for KFUM Central. Newly promoted KFUM Central maintains second place with 5-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Hogsbo, which they share with IK Eos and Talje. Loser KFUM Fryshuset dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Jarfalla and Koping. KFUM Central will meet at home Alvik Basket (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KFUM Fryshuset will play against Orongo Dragons and hope to secure a win.
