Regular Season Round 5: Scauri - Napoli Basket 70-78

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Napoli Basket (4-1) beat on the road 10th ranked Scauri (2-3) 78-70 on Sunday. Swingman Christian Villani (200-82) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and guard Simone Berti (196-85) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Andrea Lombardo (195-90) scored 19 points. Napoli Basket moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Newly promoted Scauri dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Napoli Basket will face Isernia (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Scauri will play against Scafati Cesarano (#14) and hope to win that game.
