Marghera used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Cagliari 70-52 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Marghera led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was guard Irene Mattiuzzo (165-90) who scored 15 points and 6 steals. Forward Carla Fabris (185-86) chipped in 4 points and 14 rebounds. Four Marghera players scored in double figures. Marghera's coach Francesco Iurlaro allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian forward Mia Masic (180-93) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Carolina Scibelli (182-86) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively.
