Regular Season Round 3: Start Lublin - MKS DG 74-75

There was a small surprise in Lublin where MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (1-2) edged MKS Start (1-3) 75-74 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 25-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. MKS Start was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for international swingman Jakub Dloniak (194-83, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Pawel Zmarlak (195-82) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Trency Jackson (188-92, college: W.Kentucky) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS Start will play on the road against Asseco (#4) in Gdynia and hope to win that game.
