The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked CASLA's (9-1) road victory over 3rd ranked Bahia Basket (7-5) 94-77 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by CASLA. Bahia Basket was better in fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CASLA had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Walter Herrmann (206-79) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) produced 16 points and Panamanian center Jamaal Levy (206-83, college: Wake Forest) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CASLA keeps a position of league leader. Loser Bahia Basket keeps the third place with five games lost. CASLA will face Quilmes MP (#10) in Mar del Plata in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
