There was no surprise when 15th ranked SPO Rouen (1-4) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Monaco (4-1) 90-58 on Monday. The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Serbian guard DeMarcus Nelson (193-85, college: Duke) who scored 17 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Naturalized Ghanian Billy Ouattara (191-92) chipped in 16 points. American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) produced 18 points and the other American import guard Chris Crawford (193-92, college: Memphis) added 12 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Monaco have a solid series of four victories in a row.
