Regular Season Round 11: Hiroshima L. - Kanazawa Samuraiz 81-121

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Hiroshima L.'s (1-8) home loss to ninth ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (5-5) 81-121 on Thursday. The game without a history. Kanazawa Samuraiz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 42. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 43-25 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Kanazawa Samuraiz especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) answered with 23 points and 8 assists and the other American import forward Adam Herman (199-91, college: Concordia, OR) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hiroshima L.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kanazawa Samuraiz moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Hiroshima L. dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will have a break next round. Hiroshima L. will play again at home against Kanazawa Samuraiz (#8) and hope to win that game.
