Regular Season Round 7: Pogon Prudnik - SKK Siedlce 63-68

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked SKK Siedlce (3-4) defeated on the road 4th placed Pogon Prudnik (4-3) 68-63 on Saturday. SKK Siedlce made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Pogon Prudnik was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Filip Struski (200-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Marcin Kowalewski (200-86, agency: Promotex) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Four SKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. At the losing side Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-87) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for SKK Siedlce. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Astoria Bydg. and Biofarm PZN. Loser Pogon Prudnik keeps the fourth position with three games lost. SKK Siedlce will face league's leader Krosno at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pogon Prudnik will play against Astoria Bydg. and hope to win that game.
