Regular Season Round 6: Castellbisbal - AEC Collblanc 70-81

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Castellbisbal (3-3) lost at home to ninth ranked AEC Collblanc (3-3) 81-70 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. AEC Collblanc forced 22 Castellbisbal turnovers. Castellbisbal was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for power forward Javi Rodriguez (202-92) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Josep Maria Guzman (182-84) contributed with 12 points and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Felix Lopez (190-85) replied with 16 points and guard David Camacho (190-91) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Castellbisbal. Four Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. Castellbisbal's coach Raul Martinez rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. AEC Collblanc moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Castellbisbal. AEC Collblanc will face Pardinyes-L. (#10) in Lleida in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castellbisbal will play on the road against the league's leader L'Hospitalet (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
