Regular Season Round 7: Biofarm PZN - Notec Inowr. 70-64

Everything could happen in Poznan at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Biofarm PZN and 11th ranked Notec Inowr. had identical 2-4 record. This time Biofarm PZN used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Inowroclaw 70-64 on Saturday night. Biofarm PZN dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Notec Inowr.'s 24. It was a great evening for forward Mateusz Brek (192-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Lukasz Ratajczak (201-86, agency: Promotex) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and forward Hubert Wierzbicki (196-91, agency: Promotex) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Biofarm PZN (3-4) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Astoria Bydg. and SKK Siedlce. Notec Inowr. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Biofarm PZN will face GTK Gliwice (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Notec Inowr. will play against Legia W-wa and hope to win that game.
