Regular Season Round 6: Shanxi - Shenyang 56-59

The most exciting game of round 6 in the WCBA took place in Taiyuan. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Shanxi Rui Flame (3-3) to fifth ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (3-3) 59-56 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shanxi Rui Flame. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 21-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was international swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. International forward Shuang Zhao (188-90) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Wei Wei (206-89) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and international center Hongpin Huang (196-89) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Shenyang Golden Lions moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Shanxi Rui Flame. Shenyang Golden Lions is looking forward to face league's leader Xinjiang in Urumqi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shanxi Rui Flame will play at home against the league's second-placed Beijing Great Wall and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
