Regular Season Round 5: Rosa III Radom - Polonia W-wa 60-74

There was an upset when higher ranked Rosa III Radom (2-3) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Polonia W-wa (1-4) 74-60 on Saturday. Polonia W-wa outrebounded Rosa III Radom 49-36 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Filip Kober (200-93) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Daniel Nieporedzki (192-94) chipped in 25 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). point guard Filip Kolakowski (189-97) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and Kacper Bejnar (199-97) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Polonia W-wa left bottom position moving up to tenth place in Group B, which they share with Stal SW and Tur Bielsk Pdl. Newly promoted Rosa III Radom dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Polonia W-wa will face Stal SW (#11) in Stalowa Wola in the next round. Rosa III Radom will play at home against LKS Lodz (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
