Undefeated Moron (4-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked CB Granada on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by CB Granada 80-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Moron. Moron was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 25-15 charge of CB Granada, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 23 Moron turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Moron helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) who scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Bernardo Castillo (196-88) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Javier Marin (190-92) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Moron players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CB Granada moved-up to second place, which they share with Lucentum and Moron. CB Granada is looking forward to face Sammic ISB (#5) in Azpeitia in the next round. Moron will play at home against Zornotza and is hoping to win this game.
