Regular Season Round 5: AZS PGd - Domino Inowr. 71-64

There was no surprise in Gdansk where 9th ranked Domino Inowr. (1-4) was defeated by sixth ranked AZS PGd (3-2) 71-64 on Saturday. AZS PGd outrebounded Domino Inowr. 37-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Daniel Szlapka (188-92) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. Mikolaj Lewandowicz (182-82) produced 24 points and point guard Michal Warchowski (187-94) added 17 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. AZS PGd moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with Koscian and Pelplin. Domino Inowr. lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. AZS PGd will face Itago Gdynia (#7) on the road in the next round. Domino Inowr. will play against the league's leader Kotwica and hope to win that game.
