Regular Season Round 5: Wisla Krakow - MKS DG 2 95-56

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Wisla Krakow (2-3) smashed at home bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-5) 95-56 on Saturday. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 30. Wisla Krakow forced 20 MKS DG 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by MKS DG 2's players. The best player for the winners was forward Mateusz Piotrowski (198-88) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Power forward Kamil Kamecki (200-87) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and Aleksander Zalucki (188-98) added 15 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla Krakow moved-up to eighth place in Group C, which they share with Pogon RS. MKS DG 2 lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Wisla Krakow will face higher ranked Zaglebie (#3) in Sosnowiec in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS DG 2 will play at home against Alba Chorzow (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
