There was a small surprise when seventh ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (3-2) beat 4th placed Rivas Promete (3-2) in Madrid 64-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 64-59. ASEFA Estudiantes forced 19 Rivas Promete turnovers. Center Mariana Gonzalez (187-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Rocio Torcal (172-94) contributed with 15 points for the winners. ASEFA Estudiantes' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-89, college: Towson, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and guard Regina Gomez (173-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 16 points in the effort for Rivas Promete.
