The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kosice: Good Angels (#1) and Cassovia K. (#8). Cassovia K. was smashed at home by 49 points 30-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Good Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cassovia K. to just 4 points in fourth quarter and to 13 points in second half. Good Angels dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cassovia K.'s 24. Good Angels forced 22 Cassovia K. turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Power forward Denisa Blanarova (184-97) fired 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Barbora Balintova (175-94) chipped in 12 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Center Eva Filickova (192-95) produced 11 points and forward Katarina Timkova (172-81) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Good Angels (9-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Cassovia K. at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Good Angels are looking forward to face Slovan (#5) in Bratislava in the next round. Cassovia K. will play on the road against Banska Bystrica and hopes to get finally their first victory.
