Regular Season Round 7: Fujitsu RW - Toyota B SR 77-66

Leader Fujitsu RW delivered the sixth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Toyota B SR (4-3) 77-66 in Kawasaki. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Toyota B SR managed to win fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujitsu RW dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota B SR's 34. Fujitsu RW forced 24 Toyota B SR turnovers and had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. International forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Rui Machida (161-93) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Mika Yamanaka (175-88) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Toyota B SR's coach Fumikazu Nakagawa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fujitsu RW (6-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Toyota B SR lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with three games lost. Fujitsu RW are again looking forward to face Toyota B SR (#6) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Toyota B SR will have a break next round.
