An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Anshan. Third ranked Beijing Great Wall faced 4th ranked Liaoning Hengye. Guests from Beijing (4-2) defeated host Liaoning Hengye (2-4) 66-53. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-53. American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Fan Zhang (188-84) chipped in 12 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Kara Braxton (198-83, college: Georgia) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard TingTing Wang (175-91) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Beijing Great Wall moved-up to second place. Liaoning Hengye lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Henan. Beijing Great Wall will meet Shanxi Rui Flame (#4) in the next round. Liaoning Hengye will play against Heilongjiang Chenneng and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
